A total of 812 people live in the 87.89 km² of the parish, distributed among the places of Cuevas, Felechosa, El Pino, Pola del Pino (officially, La Polavieya/Pola del Pino),[2] Puerto San Isidro (La Raya) and the uninhabited hamlets of Collaínos (Los Coḷḷaínos) and Rioseco (Roseco).[3] The inhabitants of El Pino are called gatos (ravens), while those of Felechosa are called corceles (steeds) and those of La Pola are called cuergos (crows).[4] The inhabitants of El Pino are called cuergos (crows).
The inhabitants of El Pino receive the nickname of gatos receiving those of Felechosa that of corceles (steeds) and those of La Pola that of cuergos (crows), although the true origin of this denomination is unknown.

Route by the Center of Asturias ascending three well-known summits of the Council of Aller: the Cuchu, maximum height of the route, the Praera or Aberrugues and the Forcá. The ascent is made through the valley of Coto de la Pola up to the Cuchu. From this summit we will follow the mountain range to successively climb the Praera or Aberrugues and the Forcá. We will descend to the Collá de la Felguera, where a few meters below a newly built track starts that will take us to the Alto Vallina, and from there, by a comfortable path we will return to Felechosa. There are about two kilometers left on the sidewalk to return to Pola del Pino, thus completing a beautiful and hard circular route through the center of Asturias.
Our route to climb the Cuchu starts in Pola del Pino going up the valley of Coto de la Pola to Yana’l Cuedru. This route runs along a wide path that leaves the stream to our right.
