Serra de galliners

La serra de galliners a green artery

Little by little we leave the area of urbanizations towards some fields, but always going up the Riera de Can Barra where poplars predominate, until we reach a beautiful specimen of willow that will mark the point where we will enter the Serra de Galliners.
From now on we will follow the Cami de la Font dels Caçadors following a path that always goes upwards where the first pines gradually give way to oaks, making the ascent very comfortable and entertaining.
Now we will advance until we reach a path that comes out to our right and that allows us to reach directly to the highest point of the Serra de Galliners, the Pujol Blanc, from where there is a beautiful view towards Sabadell, Sant Llorenç del Munt and the Serra de Collserola.
The truth is that this Serra de Galliners has surprised me, also, following the GR-173 I have seen that you can make some very interesting routes towards Rubí, so I do not rule out approaching soon in the area to discover new places.

Ruta serra galliners

Incivisme to the galliners mountain range

When you reach the end of this meadow you will see a fork, in our case we have taken the ascending path on the right hand side. On this path you will pass several areas of wide meadow where dogs can run.
You will see detours along this path, some come from the wide track that you have left behind, others limit or lengthen the route, … we have continued along the path we are on, without taking more detours, so in the first two detours we have continued down the path that is about 1.30-2m wide (left hand), and when we have found that the path ends opening into two descending paths of equal width, we will take the right hand one.
Cyclists: it depends on the day of the week and the area. On the wide paths you may find some, especially on weekends. They are usually used to share the road with dogs as it is an area where they go a lot.
People: On weekends there are quite busy areas, during the week it is quieter. Especially on the wide paths, if you go through narrower trails you will come across fewer people. Most of them have dogs with whom your little friend will be able to socialize.

As a volunteer I develop activities for the protection, improvement and respect for animals and nature. On a professional level, I carry out activities and workshops in schools. My activities have 6 objectives:
The threat and pressures are constant and on various fronts. For me, the most dangerous threat is to believe that we are the owners of nature. This leads us to use living beings at will, without measuring the consequences.
Yes, in [email protected] to be able to have the necessary infrastructure for all. If you participate as a group, for example as AMPA, entity, company… you must let us know. We will make specific posters in the spaces cleaned by them. It is important to send us the logo.
