Este trabajo aborda tres temas. En primer lugar, se analiza brevemente la historia de los programas de pregrado de psicología en Argentina, en los que se destaca el sesgo psicoanalítico. En segundo lugar, se revisan algunos estudios e informes importantes sobre los programas de pregrado y la formación profesional en Psicología, comenzando por algunos informes clásicos en EE.UU., y terminando con la propuesta de un Diploma Europeo en Psicología, que ahora está en evaluación en los países europeos. En tercer lugar, se analizan los efectos de la globalización, especialmente los del Mercosur educativo, en la enseñanza de la psicología en los programas de pregrado y en la formación profesional en psicología en Argentina. En este contexto, se revisa un informe crítico sobre los programas de pregrado de psicología en el país.
